rebuilding Pre-bans any case law yet?

And we all know how well the SJC adheres to Federal Precedent.
Exactly.

My point is that persons declaring what sort of repairs are "problematic" are generating such information ex rectus, with not statute, regulation or court precedent to back up their assertion.

Since there is no statute, regulation, or court precedent to back up any assertion, ex rectus is as good an authority as any.

Some here have opined that the "Banana Clips" that Jad Ali Mokad was charged for possessing are actually pre-ban. Nevertheless, his bail was set at $15,000 and he was ordered to surrender his passport. A best case scenario is that the charges for pre-ban mags are dropped, the search warrant is suppressed and all charges are dropped. If he chooses to remain in Mass, he'll be deemed unsuitable for the storage charge that was dropped and will only be able to get an FID. He'll spend the rest of his time in Mass plinking with a Mosin Nagant bolt action.

It's certainly arguable that rebuilding pre-ban mags does not make them post-ban, you'll still end up spending thousands on a lawyer and will still be deemed unsuitable.

The quote from my high school yearbook seems like the best advice: "Thou Shall Not Get Caught"
