I have a new Auto Ordinance 1911 that I have only shot a couple times and I noticed some surface scratches in the parkerized finish on the slide. Does anybody here use anything to either "buff out" the scratches or to protect the finish from further scratching. Thanks.

Thanks guys. I am not too worried about it, the whole reason I bought a repro instead of an original is so I could shoot it and not worry about it, but I still like to keep my guns nice. As far as the gun itself goes, I love it. It is very accurate, looks very similar to the GI models and the quality is great. I have shot about 150 rounds through it so far and not a single FTF. There are nicer more expensive 1911s out there for sure, but for the price this gun goes for it is a great deal.
