I keep hearing (not just in this thread) about the gov. "trusting us" to own firearms. Is it me, or does this concept seem f'ing ridiculous? I thought the people who wrote the bill of rights wanted us to be leery of gov? If this was the case, who cares if the gov. does'nt trust us? I'm under the impression we should not trust them implicitly.
