I had one years ago. No chance of catching one in the face though (if I was the only one there) because the thing was about 8' long. Coleman lanter sparker (flint kind) in the side of the chamber. they're fun when used correctly, nice big thump and a spud 100+ yards away. Ive heard PVC can become brittle though, so keeping them for a long time isnt the best idea. not sure how true it is.

PVC does become brittle when exposed to UV rays. This is why PVC is typically not used above grade, sunlight makes it break down.
