My G17 gen4 never stays home when going to the range. One of my favorite. But then... I got a lot of favorites. Enjoy
As a 12th year anniversary gift Mrs Wicked1911 told me to buy myself a new gun, so I picked up a "new to me" Glock 17 from another NESer today. It's my first glock and I can't wait to take it to the range. Added an NDZ punisher slide plate as soon as I got home....I guess the 12th year is Polymer
Late '42/Early '43 all matching T99 from the Toyo Kogyo plant (now Mazda) in Hiroshima. Nearly perfect condition, little used, with full mum, monopod, AA sights and cleaning rod. Post-war U.S. commercial conversion from the 1950's/1960's to .30-06 by reaming out the chamber only. With out the magazine enlarged or the receiver notched, the rifle is single shot, but still shoots well.

It has been on my bucket list for a long time too. I went into the shop with the intent to buy the 18" Govt model but fell in love with this one.
I don't know how it compares to the FAL or to HKs for that matter (this is my first 308 semi) but I'm very impressed with the fit and finish. From what I understand, PTR has made several improvements over their earlier guns including addressing feeding issues by adding flutes to the chamber. The trigger was also improved and it feels fantastic. I won't have time to shoot it until next week but I'll be sure to post a report when I do.

Custom piston to add weight for safe blow back .
So I can get the firing pin out.
Rear chopped . Trunnion is moving towards the trigger ...
Bolt welded / firing pin cut to length .
If some one local will help me chamber a blank I'll turn a barrel . Or I'm gonna use a 45acp uzi barrel and sleeve it as needed .
I'll update with my chopped up gas block/front sight combo thing I made .
I might get a hk rear sight , galil top cover or get one of those weird rail polish covers if I can shorten it . Trying to figure out the best way to have a longer sight radius .
I want to sbr it. Not sure if I want the under folder stock . Found a cool Skelton fixed stock for 49$ that I could make really short.
wish I could get the left side folding stock used on "kyber pass" ak builder kit .
Thought about a bump fire stock but you think there gay lol .
If me and comrade stash can find a place to rent it's getting a can lol.

my EDC is a shield 9 so this will definitely be bigger but im thinking winter carry and go from there. do you have one?

Have not got to shoot it yet. The shop that did my pin and weld didn't have 308 gauges. Headspace is likely fine but the BCG was bought new from arfcom and mailed to me without any AP packing so who knows.I'd like to confirm before I shoot. Haven't decided on optics yet
Got this gorgeous SIG 716 DMR . Shoots very well , very lwrc Repr-ish in the piston build quality .and 1200$ less. 2300 total 18" CHF swiss barrel.
Ran fine , broke the scope on it so thats out getting replaced by primary arms.
A little heavy but that makes it easier to shoot. I think its 11-12lbs as is
Overall very pleased, and would buy it again, i recommend it over the patrol because the gasblock is covered on this system and your hand can't slip forward like on a patrol model and get burned. The UBR stock was a B***h to get off because sig uses and entire bottle of locktite on the buffer tube threads and needed to be torched off.

Same here, Shield 9 for most edc and M&P 45c for non t-shirt carry. I thought that was a 45c in your photo since it had front and back slide serrations.
