Why firefighters though?
Why 1st graders?
Is it possible the fire set off the rounds and people are freaking out?
Why firefighters though? I could at least understand some other branches of .gov but I don't really see firefighters out their trying to deny someone freedom. Maybe a personal vendetta against the fire department?
In the 70's in NYC, this was a common occurrence where FDNY would show up and take fire. They were also shot at en route. It was the so called "self-cleaning oven" above 120th st leaking fumes. There is a lot of anti-government angst in many quarters including immigrants, blacks and latinos.
Not saying that's what this is, but shooting at 1st responders is sadly not new.
Latest press conference
2 firefighters dead
2 firefighters injured
1 off duty officer injured by schrapnel when his car was struck

Appears to have been a trap set by the shooter.

What are the Las Vegas odds it was an AR ?
RIP to the fallen firefighters [sad2]
My tin foil hat is going on and staying on. I read conspiracy to take awy our second amendment rights. Ann Coulters hypothesis on Fast and Furious supports this. http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2012-07-11.html
Well if it glorifies the shooter the next one will be some one attacking a pd.
Is it possible the fire set off the rounds and people are freaking out?
CNN reports, "not sure if an assault rifle was used yet". Then other reporter, "it likely was, if he got off that many shots that quickly". Terrific!
Very unlikely. At least according to reports that there was one firefighter who was actually shot - and we've covered whether or not ammo in a fire is actually dangerous to firefighters.
Sounds to me like some nut set his house on fire then started shooting at the people responding.
this happened in the '68 riots...Chicago, Baltimore and Boston. picking off firemen in Roxbury responding to fires..[sad2]
But wait!! This guy was a convicted FELON !!! He couldn't possibly have used a gun!!!
