So after months of wheel spinning and the recent events in S.C. I've decided that I need to atleast get some time of OC into my mother's house in Maine. She has never been overly "friendly" towards guns but has always tolerated them, she is however, definitely untrained and at best completely unreliable with one. I want to get her some type of OC, one to keep in the house and one to keep on the dog leash, it seems like more and more injuries are caused by reckless dog owners...Does anyone know of more potent commercially available setups? I've got a can of bear spray left over from my trip to Alaska but its a bit impractical to carry around downtown on a dog leash.

Fox Labs brand should work well. I like the 4oz can myself. Be sure to get the ones that have the same style of top as the "Mace" brand has, with the little cap over the button. Their other style is just begging for an AD in your pocket.
