Anyone remember the story of the Maxim gun captured by SGT Alvin York in WW1 that was found in the Nahant public library ???

You can't just donate it to any museum to save it from destruction by the ATF.
The museum has to receive federal funding to qualify, so a private museum like the one in Natick can't possess it legally.
Springfield Armory Museum? Or One-Eyed Jack's Museum?
This is one of the most punchable faces I have ever seen
Where does it say this? Are non federally funded museums prohibited from obtaining the museum FFL? The museum not having the FFL is obviously an issue, but I've never heard of this stipulation in federal law.

how come i never find these things in my house. best i found was a floppy disk that said porn but i had no floppy drive to enjoy it.
You are probably right on. JackLooks like a chi-com copy like ones encountered in Vietnam
Mike,
I looked into the legalities of museums possessing firearms (never asked about NFA stuff) with nobody in charge even possessing a LTC and found out it was perfectly legal. Nothing I read/was told indicated any need for an FFL. As for NFA stuff, I am not sure if the same rules apply or not since I never asked.
The boxers didn't try to bite? When we moved we put really nasty descriptions of porn and descriptions of ammo on the boxers.
Yeah, I knew that Title 1 stuff was never really a problem, Museum wouldn't need an FFL unless they wanted to accept guns from people from nonresidents, etc. (to get past all the gun shipping limitations BS).
I poked around tonight, Zappa is correct, or at least I've seen the same insinuation that NFA stuff can only go to museums on a Form 10 if the museum gets some "federal funding or recognition" whatever that means. Still looking for the chunk of US code that discusses this, but the whiffs im getting from the whole thing is its some kind of BATFE administrative edict kind of deal.
