Just applied for C&R....what should I get when it arrives?

I am currently more interested in handguns...the CZ's on the list has especially caught my eye. I would also consider a long gun if I could find a good deal. I have actually no experience with rifles but I have fired many handguns. Soooooo... Suggestions on my first few C&R purchases? Also anywhere you know of to find em! thanks in advance

Pick up a copy of Shotgun News - it's loaded with C&R's. Off the top of my head for long guns: SKS, Mosin, Mauser, Enfield and ammo... Congrats!

Some C&R handguns go just as quick as they show up. The Star pistols that a distributor had a while back seem to be gone and so are the CZ50 pistols.
CZ52 pistols are still available but have risen in price and finding one with original finish is pretty hard. Those were mostly bought up by collectors. I think the fact that not all people can get 7.62x25 ammo is the reason why there are CZ52s around.
I'm thinking the CZ82s will be hard to get soon. After all they're chambered in a round that is still readilly available. If you like handguns, thats what I'd start with.

Exactly. The easier question would be "what NOT to get"? I agree with Milsurps4Me though. C&R handguns seem to go a LOT faster and I get them when they become available. Right now I'm saving up for a TT33. Enjoy the ride once you get it.

Remember Do Not sign your original. Make several copies and sign them as you need them. File the original away. Also when you hand one out. Write across it in Black Sharpie "File copy for XYZ gun shop Feb 2008" or whoever. So it can't be copied and used elsewhere.
