How long did your LTC-A take in your town???

May 19th pic/prints/check submitted with application. Never thought I'd get LTC before check cleared.
Strange indeed, just keep the $ in the bank, don't want to mess with them at all.

I understand the checks are sent to the Town, but 3+ months is crazy.
I'm sure all towns have there own way of doing things, but I was told that mine holds the check till LTC comes in then they send it over
I'll tell you right now it's the fingerprints from MSP (unless Framingham is one of those depts that sits on stuff for ever)Today is 11 weeks to the day since I was finger printed in Framingham.Still pending review.
Guess I'll check next week and then call the PD to see what the hold up is.

Each town's process for when the turn in checks varies. PD's turn them over to the town accountant people and then who knows how long it is before they're deposited
X2 on the prints. Called my PD last week and they said they were waiting on my prints to get back, today marks my 15th week.

Things were simpler 60 years when I got my first LTC. The chief gave it to me and told me that he'd kick my ass from here to kingdom come if I screwed up. Jack.
Wouldn't be pretty if that's how it was done now a days

Could you give out a little more info, when was your interview, who told you shortly.
I had my interview early May and I'm still waiting for the PPD to ok it, I haven't been able to get Marsha to mail or call me back after many tries at calling and mailing her.

All I know is, that May applications are being processed and was told to be patient.

Wife and I had ours on the 19th as well. Officer Lavalley said the same to us.
Wow, that's a little harsh. A neighbor got me the information and is a fairly reliable source.

Applied for a renewal LTC-A no restrictions in Natick on Sept. 6 was told 4 months before I'll get it.

Picked mine up yesterday in Brockton, no restrictions, 100 day wait from application to in hand.
Haha I originally read this as Brookline, not Brockton. I was very curious how you had gotten that through in Brookline.

Always wanted a 9 since back in the early 80's when I was in the Army, the time has finally come to get an LTC and start an old hobby back up.
