Look at this:

http://www.foxnews.com/static/managed/img/Scitech/Guarding an Entry Point_slideshow_604x500.jpg

This is the text attached to it:

April 21: Master-at-Arms 3rd Class Nicole Gann, assigned to Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron 3, guards an entry control point with a .50-caliber machine gun at a simulated forward operating base during a Navy Expeditionary Combat Command integrated exercise. The weeklong training exercise is designed to provide NECC Sailors realistic combat training in preparation for up-coming deployments.

Nevermind, I clearly didn't read the underlined words the first time... (duh)

what about the article confuses you? training, exercise or simulated?

would you prefer they use live rounds during training exercises?

Wow... clearly I have a reading comprehension problem.

I'm embarrassed I read right over that.

No problem amigo. Being able to admit you effed up when you get some good ribbing is part of the dynamic here. Welcome.

Clint Eastwood used live rounds in training. [Heartbreak Ridge] [smile]
But he is Clint Eastwood and we should expect no less.
