If not a pp, they can walk into any LGS with their Florida drivers license and purchase a firearm. They will have to wait 3 business days to go back and pick it up. They cannot legally conceal carry unless they have a permit. Its extremely easy to obtain and the info will be on the local tax collectors web site, highly recommend they follow through in that!

Counties are allowed to extend the state mandated 3 day waiting period to 5 days

Just like they can add hundreds of dollars to a seat belt violation ticket

My renewal by mail arrived today, exactly 7 weeks down and back.
The old one was expiring in January, so I'm now good till 2030 (please God).
