Disarm Hate Act Introduced: Would Permanently Revoke 2A Rights for Misdemeanor Hate Crimes

I’m honestly starting to wonder if the sudden loud and proud Maoism taking over the left is the result of Chinese influence in academia and political lobbying. Seems like since 2012-13 it’s been getting exponentially worse.

All this censorship, othering, curating, deplatforming, shaming circles, etc is all straight out of the Little Red Book.

That makes total sense but we would need to harness the power of 4chan or something similar to really know. There's been confirmed Chinese and previously Soviet subversion of American academia. @The5thDentist @mibro

Maybe so but what we're seeing now is the end of a process which began almost 100 years ago. There was a fierce political battle fought over the 1924 Immigration Act, also known as the Johnson-Reed Act. When signing the Act, President Calvin Coolidge commented, "America must remain American."

The 1965 (Hart-Celler) Immigration Act wholly reversed the Johnson-Reed Act and sowed the seeds of the growing ethnic conflict which is for now still very thinly disguised as Left vs. Right. If there's one thing the left can agree on, though, it's that everything is white Americans' fault.

Lets keep counting sheep and wake up when maybe one day the "right" in this country will start backing its own support base.

Who knows? When was the last time a non-white was charged with a hate crime?

I'd like to know that. Is such a (stupid) law equally applied, regardless of race? If you ask your average everyday progressive, the answer is no.

This reminds me a lot of Chaplinsky and other "Fighting Words" cases. As of now, saying a racially insensitive word has no legal ramifications by itself. Our 1A jurisprudence at the Federal level hasn't been kind to anti-"hate speech" legislation, like RAV, Black, and Tam.

Correct.

Key phrase "legal ramifications". Key word "legal".
We're seeing that saying a racially or otherwise insensitive word can wreck your career.

To some, owning a gun is a hate crime, thus fulfilling my prophecy that the anti-Freedom lobby always wanted the desire to own a gun to be a disqualifying event.

Ciccolini - isn't that that Italian porn star turned Parliamentarian??? ;)

I'm 100% behind this once we decide if you say something stupid in Congress your 1A rights are revoked.
