Brockton Man Sentenced on Firearms Charge

Now if they could only manage to get off their butts and do the same thing for the repeat offender mutts that are routinely released with a slap on the wrist when they're arrested committing their 37th armed felony since they turned 18 last year. [frown]

Since 2002, when the U.S. Attorney's Office implemented the Project Safe
Neighborhoods Initiative, eleven cities across the state, including
Brockton, have joined in the program.

Is Boston a part of this? You never hear anything like this out of Boston....

Boston might be, but it' really a federal thing. The feds will search high
and low for people that are good candidates for prosecution. In some
cases the state does the dirt-digging and finger pointing and the feds come
in and arrest the person. (MD did this with a guy who was a private investigator
who got into a barfight or some crap 20 years ago, so during
a records scan they found out he had bought guns, and thus was probably
FIP... so they summoned the feds on him. )

This only proves my point about FIP.... felon in posession is dumb... where
are the local laws? (IMO, FIP is a local issue.... most of the people jailed
on FIP were not transiting states when they were busted... they lived and
hung out where they are arrested, so why is it a "federal" issue? ) This is
a clear cut case of the state governments dropping the ball. Commie
places like MA and MD love to do this, too, because it lets them transfer the
burden of their criminals onto the rest of the country... so they don't have
to take responsibility or pay for their incarceration.

My first thought also ................. [thinking]

Gentlemen. I'm not sure if you were joking about this. If you weren't, for people that have a LTC in MA- we ARE allowed to OWN non MA compliant Glocks (if you mean pre 1998)... it's just that DEALERS can sell them!
