Agree on the "every Jewish person I know", in my case every Jewish person I know who also shoots - will like to see 0 just go away (to put it mildly), but, there are others who adore him also, to put it mildly. (And I can't say that the difference is any different with any other groups, or
is tending towards "More 0" among Jews that I know. )

So, on personal circle level, you are right. But AFAIK, when the numbers came in, 0 has won the Jewish vote again.

But, its critical to mention that one Jewish vote does not equal another. Meaning, if the NY times idolizes you, it's not the same
as Johny shotgun at the range hating your guts. The two do not offset each other.

Even is Israel itself, where they are surrounded by people who want to wipe them off the planet, there are people in their own culture that create massive political divisions based on debates about national defense, etc.

Another "short version" interpretation is american jews often act soft compare to their israeli counterparts because they don't have a bus blowing up once a week down the street from their house where a durka got onto it and started shouting allah akbar. The israelis live in the thick of it- they don't have time to get soft.

I think there is also this weird like, victim-hood thing with some american jews. This mindset smears off and infects other people in their circles. Basically there are jews that strangely seem to enjoy being victims (they would never admit it, but it is kind of obvious) and then there's another entire crop of them that are defiant and do everything in their power to NOT be victims. Perhaps not so strangely there are not a lot of wafflers. I've met both kinds and I'd much rather hang out with the "NEVER AGAIN" guys any day of the week. The other kind I just don't understand, the whole mindset is just unfathomable to me. Those are the people who vote for Obama, Hitlery, etc. The saddest thing is most of them are further left than the average non-jew liberal. It's bizarre to me.

Not being familiar with the Jewish religion, maybe somebody can answer this for me: why are Jews so often at the forefront of "progressivism" ?? . Because it seems like Jews in general are always some of the biggest supports of "liberal" causes, and are also heavily involved in socialist and outright communist causes ( back when commies were still popular).

In my mind there are a few main support groups (in general) for the left. In this country at least it's Jews, blacks, gays, and women. The support always seems to revolve around what they can get out of the government. That support also seems to be driven by ideological belief - and opposition to "conservative" ideology and belief.

Part of the reason I *like* the fact that we're getting attacked by terrorists - is that it totally blows open that paradigm. I was at a 50th birthday party for a friend last night. In that social group are two gay men and a number of flaming liberal women. One of the gay guys brought up the San Bernandino thing - because he knows I own guns. I think he was going to try and pull some shit - because he has before ( and I shut him right down to the point where he didn't try it again for quite some time) - but one of the women who was in the conversation made the comment " well those two were Muslims".

He commented back about the gun thing in a sort of half hearted attempt to turn it back towards guns. And when I saw him trying to pull that I said: " you know - I find it sort of amazing that there's certain demographic groups in this country that are still so opposed to the concept of armed self defense. I mean seriously - who here REALLY should be worrying? It's not me - I'll just convert. I mean for me I can just pretty much join up with whatever group comes along. I've got blonde hair - so the Nazis will take me. If I read the Koran and pledge allegiance to Allah - the Muslims will take me. If we get some sort of elites running this country I've got all sorts of skills I can sell to the man to keep his empire running. I'm pretty much good no matter which way it goes. But you women and especially you gay guys - you're ****ed. If I was you I'd start thinking long and hard about which way this shit is going - and how you're going to defend yourself when it goes bad , but whatever - I'm not the one who stands to get really screwed here".

Yeah - that pretty much pissed them off.

It's not about religion or culture. Show me someone who lives in a major city, rarely leaves it, who depends on government to keep order and protect them, and I'll show you a liberal. That's all there is to it. The voting maps and population density maps are almost identical. High density equals liberal, low density equals conservative. Religion, race, ethnicity, etc., all seem to mean something, but for the most part these are just correlated variables, and not causal.

Kind of in the same line of Iran, let's look at the deal they had with Zero. Part of the deal was that he'd give them money and "conventional arms". That means weapons...including military-grade weapons. How the hell was he allowed to give bad guys a ton of firepower when they've boasted how they wanted Israel "wiped off the map"?

You're not taking one key variable:

Why do some people choose to live in the city and why do some choose to move out.

it's not the city or country life that make you who you are. It's who you are that makes
you choose where to live.

The city is a refuge to all the misfits who can move in there, find similar misfits, get along
and vote liberal hapily.

Liberals move to the city and lib away, it's not the life in the city that magically turns one to a liberal.

Can someone explain the logic of how a nut case shoots up a church in the south and we ban Confederate flags, statues ect. but in these cases nobody talks of banning burkas or qurans?
