This mall is owned by Simon. It is a gun free zone by signage (and law in some states). I know the one in Auburn says no weapons. In NC no gun signs are legally binding.
I have some questions
1. If it's a gun free zone how did he get a gun in there?
2. I bet Simon Malls will trespass the person who shot the suspect.
3. Where were the police?..since they can only have "patrol rifles (AR-15s)" and "9 mm blow you up lung guns (anyone can buy these Sigs and Glocks the police carry).
While I am pro-police for good police officers who use discretion..and know how to deescalate. When seconds count the police are only minutes away.
I typically avoid malls.. since Sears and RadioShack left.. most of the stuff non gun store stuff I need can be found at Kohl's, Wal-Mart, Lowe's, Harbor Freight or Amazon or I order from Midway. Unfortunately most malls are magnets for crime.
