African-American Gun Clubs

I avoided clubs that were mostly older white men. Ball park it at age 50+
Don't write off us 50+ white guys.

My involvement in USPSA, and the local gun club, is the only reason I have friends ranging in age from 20s to 70s, plus a far greater diversity of professions and backgrounds that those I encounter in the other aspects of my life.

A key to keeping a gun club active and healthy is the older guys welcoming the young ones, and then working them to death doing work for the club.

I think we should take the Harvard (U) approach and institute strict quotas at all gun clubs.

... A club cannot have more than 5% of its members named Mike. Sorry Mister Happy...

There are definitely pockets of minority gun owners. MA has it's own women's groups for guns; the Pink Pistols have a Boston chapter (good bunch btw, I've gone to a couple of events to support them); Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership; Black Guns Matter; etc. Just wish these groups were bigger.
