I just heard that PA lost a republican senator to the democrat Casey- but he's PRO GUN. I have to hear more good things.. there is sooo much bad news this morning. Any other glimmers of hope out there?

It doesn't matter if he is pro-gun. His win just put Schummer and Feinstein that much closer to controlling the Senate's agenda.

Any Democrat win at the national level is definitely NOT good news.

Yeah, but that's still FAR better than an anti getting that
seat. If he's really true to form, that means thats one democrat
that would vote against whatever crap that schumer and swinestine
try to invent. As much contempt as I have for democrats, the ones
that are pro gun are usually firmly in our corner.

Further, it's unsure at this point what kind of crap theyd be able to come
up with beyond their little circle of moonbats... You saw what happened when
the AWB expired... nothing. Like a dozen moonbats harped about it, but
none of the other dems or republicans were really making any noise about
it. Congressionally speaking, the AWB signing was a huge bloodletting
incident. Guns are starting to become a third rail in politics (nationally) and
that, folks is a good thing. I'm not encouraging complacency either, I'm just
pointing out that voting for gun control nationally has a stronger level of
political risk attached to it. I doubt another AWB will come to pass
within the next few election cycles. I'd be more worried about the feds trying
to limit private sales between residents in free states. That doesn't have
as much risk attached to it as anything with the word "ban" in it does, and has
a higher likelyhood of passing. (Arguing against the AWB is easy, its a lot harder
for people to argue against BG checks and the like, especially considering that
the NRA has carrotted supporting them).
