Your top three most iconic handguns

1. Set of flintlock single-shot dueling pistols
2. Colt dragoon
3. Tie between an original 1911 and 1st Generation S&W .357 (I'm a revolver guy so I choose the latter).

Someone should make this a poll.

To me me "iconic" means a gun that pretty much any average person would see and could correctly associate with a specific cultural reference. "That's James Bond's gun," or "That's Dirty Harry's gun," etc.
  1. 1911 (Every WWII movie ever)
  2. Walther PPK (James Bond's gun)
  3. S&W model 29 (Dirty Harry's gun)
  4. Colt single action (Every western movie ever, Patton, etc.)
  5. Beretta M9 / 92FS (Pretty much every gun or anti-gun sign has a silhouette of one. Tell a random person to draw the outline of a gun and they'll probably draw something that looks a lot like either a 1911 or a 92fs.)
