I've picked up an old beater rifle that I'm going to make a summer project and the first thing I'd like to tackle is the stock. If you look close there seems to be a very nice wood pattern underneath the grime, grease and dirt. I'm wondering what people have used to clean up their wood gun stocks that I can start using. I'm not sure if I want to strip it down to the base wood yet, but I would like to clean it up as a start.
Any recommendations on what I can start using that you've had success with?
Thanks.
