Where to move

So as many of you may have read in my last post I am about to move to Boston for my wife's graduate school at BUMC.
So, I am flying to Boston on this upcoming Monday (June 15) for a week to look for places to live.
So I am 25 and Karen is 23 and she is going to BUMC but for the sake of being college students we need a place that is not to expensive.
We don't mind commuting on the T-line,
Any suggestions?

You plan on bringing a car or two? If not the South End in Boston is nice but terrible to park. The BUMC is on the hairy edge between a nice area, South End (east of Mass Ave.), and not so nice Roxbury (west of Mass Ave.).

Where will you commute to?
