I know there are tons of places to get them. I just wanted some feed back on where you guys are going for quality products and good prices.

I've got stuff from Rock river that seemed to be pretty good. It was just spare parts like roll pins, springs and a free floater tube and detachable carrying handle.

Depends on what I'm looking for or need.

If it's just ordinary replacement parts, I'll buy them form Bushmaster or Brownells (Bushmaster has the advantage of being located in ME; my order will get here sooner). I'll order from Brownells if I'm making a larger order for other parts and accessories and figure as long as I'm ordering stuff might as well add in smaller AR parts.

For accessories...

Yankee Hill Machine

http://www.yankeehillmachine.com

and directly from A.R.M.S ...

http://www.armsmounts.com

Both are located in MA, so once again my order usually arrives quicker.

(Note... it's been quire awhile since I ordered from A.R.M.S. Since then most of their attention has been diverted to filling orders placed by the military due to the war in Iraq. I don't know right-off-hand if they're currently filling civilian sales in a timely manner).

For pre-ban 20/30 round magazines, I buy from private sellers listings on various "Equipment Exchange" boards.

Rock River Arms can be a PITA if you're ordering things like barrels, complete uppers, stripped uppers and lowers, etc. A person can wait 1-2 months or more before the order is shipped. Smaller repair parts and accessories are usually shipped out pretty quick. I do give RRA credit for decent customer service.

I was just going to suggest looking at JP for parts if you want a premium stuff. Santurri just put a JP fire control kit in my AR this afternoon and I like it much better than the 2-stage NM Bushmaster trigger I had in it before.

The JP is single stage. I love it. The take up and over travel are easily adjusted with allen screws and the pull is just over 3# and crisp.

There are two JP AR15 trigger kits - one is discrete parts; the other is a pre-fab assembly designed for a much easier drop in. Both are single stage.

Any idea how difficult the JP trigger module is to install? Does it require a gunsmith?

Instructions are posted at www.jprifles.com - http://www.jprifles.com/instructions/Rifle/JPFC.pdf

The posted instrucitons are for the traditional unit. The drop-in module is much easier - just a few adjustment screws on the units, push out the pins in the received and put the unit back in. JP only offers a small pin (non-Colt) version though.

JP offers installation of the traditional unit for $65, which includes return shipping.

If you preference is for a single stage trigger, these things are second to none. Check out JP's customer satisfaction policy and compare it to what you find on the other suppliers web sites:

I also have a rather old fashioned idea about "customer satisfaction." You'll notice that we don't have any fancy fine print guarantees with our products. My policy is simple: if you're not happy, I'm not happy. I only guarantee one thing, your satisfaction. Ask one of our customers. They're our best salespeople.

If you're interested in a JP or want to check out their trigger, I am available to meet forum members at Hopkinton Sportsmens http://www.hsasports.com
