blah blah
This UN Troop crap has been discussed for decades. Man, give it a rest. Never forget the time a dude in a gun shop the told me that there were 5000 Belgian troops at Ft Carson waiting to occupy Colorado Springs once President Clinton gave the executive order. The black helicopters were going to start transporting people to the FEMA Camps in Montana after these Belgian Blue Berets confiscated all the guns in the city. I politely introduced myself and explained that I was a G2 (Intelligence) Operations Officer for the 4th Infantry Division on Headquarters Staff, and with the exception of 2 British majors assigned to the G3 as exchange officers, there were no foreign troops currently assigned at Ft Carson. If there were 5000 Belgian troops there I would certainly know about them and as a Life Member of the NRA would be just as concerned as him if the story were true, but it wasn't. The expression on his face was priceless
Most talk the talk, few will walk the walk. Federal troops and UN Troops would be entirely unnecessary to confiscate firearms IMO. Here, especially, LE is simply compensated too well in far too many cases. Maybe not so much in smaller towns, but enough so that nobody is going to rock the boat. Many of you here have never felt the naked aggression of the state or have been in fear of your life or that of your family's. A lot have some romanticized notion of making a last stand, but when they come at 3 in the morning, hold you down, shoot your dog, turn your wife into a punching bag and your kids are screaming you will comply and turn your guns in very quickly. Until you have been tested, anything you say is speculation.
After DCF has taken away your children, your wife has three broken ribs, two black eyes and a broken nose because she resisted (they won't hurt you, you see, that's the beauty of it) you'll give up your guns, go to jail no writ of habeus corpus because of the national emergency and get lost in the system for months. The point is you will give up your guns not because of what they will do to you, but what they will do to your family.
And oh, the cop that did the most damage to your wife? He's your neighbor two doors down the street. Your kids play with his and the wives exchange recipes. You went fishing together up in NH last summer. He is all for guns, not an enthusiast like you, but he supports in general the shall issue idea. With paid details and OT he made 175,000 last year. His wife works part time as an RN. They have a time share in Jamaica and were planning a Disney Cruise with the kids before the National Emergency. He's been on the Job for 12 years, his uncle was on the PD and before that worked in his dad's construction business. Not a veteran because of a minor color blindness issue which he got waived for the police. Late model car, SUV, CJ degree earned nights from a local college. He doesn't particularly like the new rules, but hey with the new DHS Police Augmentation and Training Authorization Act his department is going to increase manning levels by 30 percent and the new DHS Police Liasion Officer who is now assigned to every PD over 10 members as a federal advisor to the chief and assists with grant money and training has already said funding will be available to create two new sergeants. The Chief has already told our guy that he is a leading contender and since there is no civil service exam, that while the chief himself "doesn't like all this new Federal BS" the dept is really moving ahead and if Our Guy shows a great attitude and is aggressive one of those Sergeant positions could very likely be his. All he has to do is go along with the program.
So here you are in a holding cell. Your wife is in another holding cell moaning in pain. That extra kick in her vagina as she was being escorted into the station by one the other officers didn't make her feel any better and now there are little spots of blood on the concrete floor. She honestly didn't mean to stumble when she was exiting the cruiser it was that her ribs hurt so badly, but the officer thought she was resisting again.
So if our guy can arrange to get all your guns into a bonded warehouse, finish writing his report and coordinate getting your wife to the ER in two or three hours, he might make it home to attend church with his family. Afterall it's Easter Sunday in Amerika and God Bless us all.
