What if government takes our guns...

[popcorn] blah blah

This UN Troop crap has been discussed for decades. Man, give it a rest. Never forget the time a dude in a gun shop the told me that there were 5000 Belgian troops at Ft Carson waiting to occupy Colorado Springs once President Clinton gave the executive order. The black helicopters were going to start transporting people to the FEMA Camps in Montana after these Belgian Blue Berets confiscated all the guns in the city. I politely introduced myself and explained that I was a G2 (Intelligence) Operations Officer for the 4th Infantry Division on Headquarters Staff, and with the exception of 2 British majors assigned to the G3 as exchange officers, there were no foreign troops currently assigned at Ft Carson. If there were 5000 Belgian troops there I would certainly know about them and as a Life Member of the NRA would be just as concerned as him if the story were true, but it wasn't. The expression on his face was priceless [rofl]

Most talk the talk, few will walk the walk. Federal troops and UN Troops would be entirely unnecessary to confiscate firearms IMO. Here, especially, LE is simply compensated too well in far too many cases. Maybe not so much in smaller towns, but enough so that nobody is going to rock the boat. Many of you here have never felt the naked aggression of the state or have been in fear of your life or that of your family's. A lot have some romanticized notion of making a last stand, but when they come at 3 in the morning, hold you down, shoot your dog, turn your wife into a punching bag and your kids are screaming you will comply and turn your guns in very quickly. Until you have been tested, anything you say is speculation.

After DCF has taken away your children, your wife has three broken ribs, two black eyes and a broken nose because she resisted (they won't hurt you, you see, that's the beauty of it) you'll give up your guns, go to jail no writ of habeus corpus because of the national emergency and get lost in the system for months. The point is you will give up your guns not because of what they will do to you, but what they will do to your family.

And oh, the cop that did the most damage to your wife? He's your neighbor two doors down the street. Your kids play with his and the wives exchange recipes. You went fishing together up in NH last summer. He is all for guns, not an enthusiast like you, but he supports in general the shall issue idea. With paid details and OT he made 175,000 last year. His wife works part time as an RN. They have a time share in Jamaica and were planning a Disney Cruise with the kids before the National Emergency. He's been on the Job for 12 years, his uncle was on the PD and before that worked in his dad's construction business. Not a veteran because of a minor color blindness issue which he got waived for the police. Late model car, SUV, CJ degree earned nights from a local college. He doesn't particularly like the new rules, but hey with the new DHS Police Augmentation and Training Authorization Act his department is going to increase manning levels by 30 percent and the new DHS Police Liasion Officer who is now assigned to every PD over 10 members as a federal advisor to the chief and assists with grant money and training has already said funding will be available to create two new sergeants. The Chief has already told our guy that he is a leading contender and since there is no civil service exam, that while the chief himself "doesn't like all this new Federal BS" the dept is really moving ahead and if Our Guy shows a great attitude and is aggressive one of those Sergeant positions could very likely be his. All he has to do is go along with the program.

So here you are in a holding cell. Your wife is in another holding cell moaning in pain. That extra kick in her vagina as she was being escorted into the station by one the other officers didn't make her feel any better and now there are little spots of blood on the concrete floor. She honestly didn't mean to stumble when she was exiting the cruiser it was that her ribs hurt so badly, but the officer thought she was resisting again.

So if our guy can arrange to get all your guns into a bonded warehouse, finish writing his report and coordinate getting your wife to the ER in two or three hours, he might make it home to attend church with his family. Afterall it's Easter Sunday in Amerika and God Bless us all.

You should totally write a book, man.

The neighbor was one of the guys who was shooting at the unmarked SUV in Watertown because he was colorblind. They gave him a medal.

Wait, wait. So UN troops could be inbound?

Ed, I have since stolen NEMLECs MRAP (or is it a ****ing bearcat!) and Im heading your way. Im pie eyed, but thats irrelevant because Im an LEO and can get out of an OUI.

Where the **** is C Thomas Howell and his horse ? Actually send Ms. Thompson my way and Ill give up the key to the city.

I lost my keys.

[laugh]

Drunk driving the police state whip across state lines, I love this idea. On second thought, I am keeping my guns, lets just get shitfaced and pull over other cops with your MRAP.

If the .gov cant deport 30 million illegals, it cannot confiscate 300 + million privately owned firearms.

It doesn't mean that they will never try.

Sorry man, but in both NOLA and Watertown, pounding sand was indeed an option. The majority of our populace will aquiesce when the knock comes at the door. LE included. Is it an education thing? A confidence thing? A fear of .gov thing? I think its a combination of all that and more.
Incidents that bring on this madness come as surprises, so how do you combat that? Saying that people got caught by surprise is a cop out ; Katrina was 2005, our Chechnyan friends did their thing in 2013. 8 years of AARs of Katrina, and the best we can do is our people were taken by surprise?
Nope.
A repeat performance will go the exact same way, and that is something you cant blame on LE.

Did you see the mention of weapons discipline in the AAR of Watertown? There was an article about it on Boston.com

We can agree to disagree on the caught by surprise thing.
Most of the folks in LA. they interviewed after the fact had no idea that when they saw the N.G. coming that they weren't coming to help them out.
They were actually relieved to see them at first, considering the looting and pillaging that had been going on.
The last thing on their mind was they were about to get proned out at gunpoint and their house ransacked.
Would any of them actively fight back if it happened again?
Who knows.
But you can bet their reaction won't be "Oh look honey, here comes help."

next time something like katrina happens, we need the citizen militia to respond in similar numbers to the govt jackboots.

I hate the UN. They made me spray a perfectly good helmet with a rattle can. Baby blue. Of course, I gotsome paint on the straps, and you could still see the mess years later. They made me wear a BLUE beret, and the wrong way to boot. The shame! The rules of engagement they gave us were longer than the Lord of the rings. They constantly send "observers" on patrol with you. The sucker doesn't speak your language and is, usually, a commissioned assclowns who brings his own sandwiches to a 4 hour patrol. I shit you not. We did a patrol on the Sabra-Chatillah axis, and the UN sent us some Indian (dot, not feathers) captain. I shit you not, baby blue turban, red tie, and cucumber sandwiches. So, no guys, no need to be nervous about them.

They have our military serve under a UN command and you honestly think foreign troops will be an issue for them ?

Remember Michael New ?http://www.jefflindsay.com/MichaelNew.shtml

Im sure you can find you tube videos that show the over seas troops training with american military..
http://www.thedailysheeple.com/wher...ers-are-on-american-soil-oh-right-here_082012

Yes there are probably thousands of troops here from different countries, training with our military and learning how to fight. The US Military has over 1.8 million members, and are arguably the best trained in the world with the best equipment and have the most recources backing them up, regardless if the US has some of its forces under UN command or not that is for internationial conflicts and group efforts against terrorism and aggressions not for urban uprisings and patrols inside the states. If anyone thinks a UN commander would be drawing up plans against US citizens as our Gov tells our generals to stand down and that some higher up UN commander from Europe would handle the various troops from all over the world to police inside the US is just twilight zone thinking, its utterly ridiculas. When LA was going up in flames back in '92 it was US troops from a nearby base that assisted in quelling the uprising not Pakistani's and Euro's with Blue helmuts.

Most police would around here would comply. I know NH elects county sheriffs but CT, RI, Mass don't have any elected police. They answer to the town or the state.

When the man comes around, each will act in their own way. We all know ourselves and what we will do. Some guys will line up, some will have tragic boating accidents or get robbed, and some will rent storage units in other states.

If the government, at any level, simply comes to someone's house and takes away guns from people who aren't doing anything else wrong, then it's a 2A, 4A, and personal property rights violation. So I'd imagine that a lot of manufactured evidence will show up.

The question is when the hell other gun owners will wake up and smell the coffee. I once heard that 12% of the population of RI owns guns, yet we can't barely get 100 people to show up at the state house. You can't jail, subpoena, or bring in 150,000+ people to the ACI and the town jails.
SCOTUS rulings seem to confirm the rights of individuals to own firearms in the United States. We are well-armed here in the South. If another civil war breaks out, this time we will win!

Well that was a question that was asked so it was answered and now your saying that ok no prob they are here but our crappy gov wouldnt make use of them to quell a uprising is that it in a nutshell ?

Ok so now its not the question "Are foreign troops here" Now its will the illegal alien in chief order those foreign troops to disarm the american population..

Well it is quite the work around not that posse comitatus would hold them back but having a foreign military force wouldnt violate PC would it? Not if they were invited by the usurper in the WH would it?

Spin it anyway you want but the end result is no UN troops will operate against US citizens in mainland USA regardless of who is in the oval office, case closed. Just because some moron troops from Belgium are here to learn tactics doesnt mean they are here to assist with our homeland defense and will be given orders to storm Main Street USA and put a city on lockdown, the fact that anyone could see that happening blows my freaking mind.

The gov could deport the illegals..The only problem is the gov doesnt want to deport the illegals..

with all of the things the gov is doing wrong and those things are over the top many its time to overthrow this sitting government toss them out with the garbage that gets dumped in the bay with anchors chained to their necks.

Government by the people for the people of the people my fat white ass.

They have become career politicians
not part time statesmen as they should be.

They pass laws that violate the constitution in every aspect.

If they can tackle the poor old nanny like that, I have no double they will take my freedom ass on the ground by the time I open my door. We need to have our gun owner militant.

The govt will never deport illegals because they are too important for the economy of some of the core infrastructure industries in this country: construction, agriculture, textile and garment, food manufacture and production especially meat and poultry processing, hospitality hotels and restaurants. It used to be they were absolutely vital to the eleven western states but now it's everywhere. This is why no real action will be taken by either Dems or GOP. It has less to do about getting Dem votes in the future and more about M-O-N-E-Y . Oh sure politicians on both sides of the aisle will talk about immigration reform, but if the economic powers to be really wanted it, we would already have it. Fact is, we need a permanent underclass of people that are disenfranchised and linguistically challenged and illegal immigrants fit the bill. Problem is the misconception that they are all on welfare. For people who have lived in places other than Mass and even here you might be surprised how many are em really under the radar.

I'm not going to dispense advice but IMO we have lost the war we will never fight. Best we can hope for is secession by some states out west. .Gov will get too big and unwieldy and simply implode.

If I were thirty something I'd take my Gats and some gold, not go super retard into the prepper thing but move to Idaho. I'd also learn a practical trade at least enough of one like plumbing or electrical work, wouldn't matter if I were licensed or not, but had a skill set that would be useful in a society that was semi-agrarian and rebuilding.

When the Great Implosion comes it will be based on economics and make 1929 look like nothing. The .gov will step in and the panicked populace will expect, nay demand that they do. Most will comply until the food shortages and riots. That's when you will see the first National Emergency declared and firearms confiscation. What a lot of you aren't getting is the .gov does not need the Army or the NG. It has DHS which is slowly building a de facto national police force by partnering with state and local PDs plus it controls ICE, Customs and Border Protection, the Secret Service and Homeland Security Investigations. Oh it also has the Office of Intelligence and Analysis HQ DHS. It controls one branch of the Armed Forces: The USCG. Who has control of all inland waterways in the US? USCG is also expanding inland with other DHS agencies on drug missions. It now has its own intelligence branch, before relied on the ONI. Many of you guys are talking fantasy stuff, UN, military etc. isn't needed. Patriot Act laid the ground work. No conspiracy really, just the application of greed and power, the same dynamics that have driven every kingdom, empire and nation since history began. Be afraid, be very afraid...so much more I'd like to say...but now is neither the time or the place...just be prepared.

Natural disaster of biblical proportions would be the other thing that could set a National Emergency off.

Most of this conversation is not grounded in current reality. Could we get to some dystopian future (or past like cold war Russia see the grocery store thread and pics) yea. But as Drgrant said the fight is on now. With McDonald and Heller we have a victory that says "yes citizens have the right to own guns" but they, as the antis love to point out, left open the possibility of limits on "any place for any purpose". For now at the federal level nothing much is likely to happen. We should be worried about both D's and R's. Regan screwed Ca, Clinton signed the AWB, Bush 1 left the NRA after Waco, and Bush 2 signed the patriot act. Anyone can at any time with the swipe of a pen make us all felons and they can move to that point by some event.

There are a few events that could be of trouble to us. In Ct they said you need to register your awful "assault weapons" and people did not comply. Now what if they outlawed them? Ok so people would also not comply. How would Moms and Bloom attack us in the media? They could use the "we thought you were all law abiding gun owners. Now you're refusing to turn in your guns and you're all felons. See we told everyone." Would this pass SCOTUS? Maybe, maybe not, it really depends on the make up of the court. But the anti 2a crowd has shifted away from the federal level and moved to the state level. This is dangerous for us. First it brings in the states’ rights argument into play. Many pro 2a politicians have been arguing for states’ rights. They then look like hypocrites if they then start arguing for federal rights. Some state legislative races are not decided by a lot of votes. Think about all district races that there are only 5000 people voting in. you could swing an entire legislative branch in a state in 1 election if you are well coordinated and have the ability to do so. In Ma for example there are some strict donation guidelines (it was $500 max with some exceptions).

The RKBA is an inalienable right. Its not something granted by the Constitution, its something that we all possess as human beings. The Constitution just spells it out. If it makes me a felon, then fine, Im a felon. Me and a sh!tload of other people. So many in fact, that I dont see any way they could enforce their new laws, as long as everyone stands together. (as we're starting to see in CT and CO)

Natural disaster of biblical proportions would be the other thing that could set a National Emergency off.

if there is a new way i ll be the first in line but it better work this time [devil2][devil2]
