I stopped reading when it referred to:

The erosion of moral teaching in school.

There’s more emphasis on empathy in school these days than fractions.
 
Morality ceased to be taught in the home. Fobbing off this responsibility is as illogical as “make it legal and tax it” arguments for drugs. How about we get responsible for our own and the government get back into the shaming business like it was 120 years ago.
