Using Glock 17 mags in G 22 and vice versa

Greetings,

I am farily certain that they would physically fit. Would I need to change followers in order for the mags to be completely reliable ?
Does the magazine interchangeability between 9 and 40 magazines apply to all glock models?

I don't know that it would work well, as I believe the space between the mag lips is different for 9mm vs. .40.

To check this, take some measurements with a micrometer.

Dunno if it means anything to the discussion, but I found that Pro-Mag 10-round .40S&W magazines for the SW99/P99 will hold 13 rounds of 9mm. And will fit in the SW99/P99 compact 9mm...

Don't bother. There's no reason to muck up some perfectly good
magazines to make them work in the wrong gun. You should be able
to find someone to trade the G17 mags to, or somesuch... and get G22
mags instead. Theres plenty of prebans around....
