I have a pair of collapsible Peltor Shotgunners.

They're compact enough to fit in a cubby in the back of my car.

I'm wondering if they would melt or degrade in the heat of a car.

Anyone keep their earmuffs in a vehicle long term in the summer?

I've had boxes of shooting crap in my trunk on and off for years, usually with at least one pair of muffs... no ill effects.

I have several pairs of ear muffs, eye protection and one pair of molded ear plugs in my car at all times. It's great...except that time I took my wife's van to the range. [rolleyes]

I've had 5 or 6 pairs of extra eye and ear protection (Including a Peltor 7) in my truck for years with no problems, except maybe getting loaners back.[frown]

keep mine in my range bag, only keep some plugs in my console for just in case

but the muffs on the fire trucks at my station have been out in the sun, rain, snow, and occasionly too close to a fire and still work jsut fine lol

I keep a pair of Peltors in my car and have had no problems. To keep the dust out I store them in a quart zip lock freezer bag.

One time I arrived at the range without my earmuffs. Since then I have always kept several pairs of ear plugs and an extra set of ear muffs in the cars.
