I think you are talking about steel core, not steel cases

Steel attracts a magnet, clubs are not going to try and figure out if the magnet was drawn to the case, jacket or steel core.
Some clubs ban steel case ammo on a blanket ban . Some clubs only allow non jacketed projectiles on their plates or indoor ranges

My indoor range bans steel core, but they also know by brand that things like steel case 9mm aren't an issue. They say its a fire hazard, nothing to do with cases
