Very nice.

I really need to contact a builder to do some Saiga work for me. Not overall conversion, I can just about do that with my eyes closed. I need prescision gas block and sight block work done.

I may try Red Jacket but with a tv show and all, I imagine they're backed up worse than Tromix.

How well do they hold zero and how did you mount the rear (no pun intended)?

They hk sights do OK. I have no problem hitting a pie plate at 100yd with slugs from my S12.

They weld to the rear cover so my guess it would never work for precision shooting but then again we are talking an AK here.

You would expect them to work without much lube, anyways... although this one needed a serious douching in order to function flawlessly. Thanks for hooking me up with the advice needed to fix it, Ray.

Shhhh...Don't let the AR guys know we clean are rifles.

only wen the hungarians store them in the cosmoline equivalent of 300 year old maple syrup do they need it. The extractor spring had what looked like fossilized amber in between the coils. I was surprised it even functioned as well as it did.

It's what I get for assembling them without cleaning before firing. I keep hedging my bets that the 7.62x39 will blow out most of the cosmo from the parts kit. It usually does. But this bolt was like the mosquito encased in amber from Jurrasic Park.
