I just picked up a 22/45 lite and its everything I want in a 22 pistol. Reliable, accurate, lite weight, eats anything and stupid easy to take down and clean.

Awww. He already bought before I could suggest a Ruger Single Ten. I’ve got a Single Six and it’s my favorite pistol. Though I think a Bearcat would be great for hiking.

I also have a single 10. Fantastic at the range and also I have carried it many times in an old school leather full flap cover holster when I'm squirrel hunting in zone 9 (can't use pistol or rifle on squirrel in zones 10-14)....perfect handgun to put down a cripple when you don't quite connect hard enough with the shotgun......for this job I load with 22shorts and it does the job perfectly.
