Ruger Security Six Trigger problem??

I have a nice ruger security six in 6" .. The problem is, when you pullm the trigger, after it fires the trigger stays back. You can manually push the trigger forward and then fire again. Any ideas on the pronlem?? I know this is tough without trying it but maybe somebody has heard of this problem or had it..

If I'm not mistaken it's just a broken spring. I did the same thing with mine putting it back together after I detail stripped it. I also managed to launch the pawl spring into the stratosphere, never to be found. I called Ruger and they shipped out replacements on their dime. Great customer service.

sounds like the trigger return spring, or as some call it the rebound spring, has the gun been worked on? if not send it to Ruger.

Without seeing it -- yes, probably. That's a cheap fix most likely, and it's a solid, classic gun.

You got a decent deal on the gun. Ruger no longer stocks all parts for the Security Six, but chances are pretty good they will be able to cough up a spring. If not, you might try Numrich Arms

At $6.55 for the part plus shipping, it looks like it will be cheaper to fix it yourself than to send it to Ruger.
