Is it a pain to purchase rifles from dicks? Or is the the exact same as a normal shop as far as the paper work and same day stuff?
Stopped there three weeks ago.Wanted to buy ammo that was in the Sunday add. They did not have them in the large quantity (sold out).Asked for an equal quantity in the smaller boxes and was told the limit was one box per customer.Good thing my wife was with me,we purchased one each.Cashing out we had to show our LTC a second time, paid cash and that's when we had to sign the question on the register. ARE YOU A US CITIZEN?I bought one once from a very anti gun salesman in West Springfield.
Once you get over the fact that they are dicks than it's okay to deal with Dick's.

Paperwork is the same, although they walk you to the front door after you have paid before they will put the gun in your hand.
A buddy of mine bought a shotgun in the Nashua store & they acted like he was a 2nd class citizen the whole time.
I'll never buy a gun from them..
My limited experience is that it takes noticeably longer due to less familiarity by staff with the paperwork and process, and additional paperwork and rules (ex. walk you to the front of the store, manager sign-off required). Is it a pain to purchase rifles from dicks? The perp walk when you buy a firearm there is a lot of fun, especially when you're already carrying a loaded gun...lol.
