Obama: AK-47s are for soldiers!

So, just another case of the government stealing someone's property leaving the burden of proof on the property owner?
Sounds eerily similar to forcing a farmer to destroy his livestock because some government employee thought the animals tail should be straight & not curly.
[hmmm]

Well, hey, as long as a child's life is saved by it I guess it's all good. [/sarc]

It's the progressive way.

Alright, enough of this shit. Grow up. Lets get back on topic. This thread is about a gun debate, we've all drifted. And, you are starting to become obnoxious.

Too may a**h***s here.

But wait, I want to talk to you about what happened when my drunk neighbor and I used my lawnmower to trim the hedges between our houses.
There was absolutely no warning on the mower at all![frown]

The burden of proof as to the existence of the danger and the need to seize and shut down is on the City, not the party who had their property locked and seized. . And yes, there were often very real health dangers like an increase in rats that posed an increased danger to children and adults. Also, the improper use of certain insecticides did in fact cause injury, in one case I know or but did not hear, to children in the building next to the transfer station.

A final question before I leave you to your life. Are you ignorant, stupid, or both. (actually that's rhetorical).

Wow, I try to clarify the answer that was given to my question and all of a sudden I'm ignorant and stupid. You left out:Redneck, racist, gun nut, tea bagger, bigot, homophobe, extremist, etc..etc...etc.
With a judgmental attitude like that I'm pretty sure that it's a good thing that you're NOT a judge anymore.

I have faithfully discharged that oath for over thirty years and will continue to do so. If that means protecting ignorant peoples' First Amendment right to speak, as you do, then so be it and may God help us all.

Thank you for sharing with us today.

Mr. Lafferty, your condescending language is getting old. Debate is great, but when you have to stoop to calling people stupid, ignorant, etc, it hurts your cause. Why? Because you aren't intelligent enough to debate soundly with evidence/logic that supports your beliefs. Instead, you resort to belittling others so you can "strengthen" your cause. How this works in heads like yours, I have no f'ing clue.

Too may a**h***s here.

No, there's just one. And you smell to top it off. Wipe yourself or STFU. ROTFL!!!!!111

Oh, I understand now. It's OK to use accepted right wing crazy pejoratives, but not more generalized, and likely more accurate, ones. I should have known, but I must have had my progressive blinders on and failed to see the the militia.

Does responding in snark make you feel bigger and better?

You didn't clarify anything with your ignorant/incorrect burden of proof comment nor did you clarify anything or add anything intelligent with your tail comment. What you posted was simply stupidity.

BTW, as a judge I never had a decision reversed on appeal. So if you want to be a jerk and make more stupid comments like that, go ahead. I won't see them directly. You're going on my ignore list. I wouldn't use any of the terms you list to describe you. I'd say troglodyte is appropriate.

what bill katt said wasn't all that bad, i don't see why you're so butthurt and attacking him. he's a good dude in person so quit being such a touch-hole.

Well, I may or may not be ignorant and stupid but at least I have enough class to refrain from name calling.

I also stand by what I said, correct or not. You talk about situations where it would seem the property owner was in the wrong. However, it sounds like there is still a lack of due process and/or the placement of burden of proof. Someone's livelihood could have been easily destroyed even if they were completely innocent from any wrong doing.

I'm sorry that you believe that I'm ignorant and stupid. I never claimed to be a member of Mensa or to be all knowing. For that I am truly sorry your Honor.

I never claimed to be a member of Mensa or to be all knowing, even though I am omniscient and I invented water, but that's neither here nor there, not that all carbon based life forms need it or anything, no big deal . For that I am truly sorry your Honor, hold on a second, I'll be right back, God won't stop calling me for advice.

fify, again

My favorite part:
"I also believe that a lot of gun owners would agree that AK-47s belong in the hands of soldiers, not in the hands of criminals," Obama said. "That they belong on the battlefield of war, not on the streets of our cities."

Show me a gun owner that thinks this.

Thank God I have an SAR-1, not an evil super killy AK-47[wink]

Two months later, he wrote an op-ed outlining a plan that included enforcing existing laws and rewarding states that provide the best data about gun owners. But until Wednesday, he had mostly refrained from making public comments about the issue

To WHOM?

"The president's view is that we can take steps to keep guns out of the hands of people who should not have them under existing law. And that's his focus right now," Carney said, adding it was too early to determine how the issue would play in the election.

Key words....

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Baikal49 again.

Socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.

“There’s class warfare, all right,” Mr. Buffett said, “but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.”

The bottom 80% in this country controls ~12% of the total wealth, and the gap continues to grow. The American dream is an illusion. But keep clamoring for more tax breaks for the rich - Romney needs another house.

Flame suit on [hmmm]

I don't want tax breaks for the rich, I want tax breaks for EVERYONE, the government is spending and taxing way too damn much for services that do nothing to fix our countries problems.

And 50% pay no taxes at all so what's the point? People that earn money shouldnt get to keep it because we have scum that needs more or won't work and pay taxes like the rest of us?
