New Gun

I ordered a FNAR heavy barrel last night. Waiting for my dealer to come back into town to get it shipped. Ugly gun, but I'm sure it's up on the list to be banned. Once I get it sorted out, I'll give a review compared to the M1A.

I've been interested in one of those in .308 for awhile. I was curious how it would work for long range shooting. I look forward to a review!

I would have gotten one already but they retail for $1600 and it is not clear they are worth it. I too would love to hear a review. BTW: They are having a deal right now where you get a free shooting mat for buying one. Make sure you get yours.

I'll say it now that I have one enroute, Scottsdale Gun Club is selling them for $1499. Wholesale is 1200, so it's not a bad markup. My local dealer couldn't get one, soooooo, I went with SGC.

I have to get some kind of optic, no sights on the gun. But I was planning on optics for the M1A anyway. Will probably go a little cheaper now that I have to buy a matched set.
