New Folks Check In and Say Hi #4

Hello everyone,

I'm Pete, formerly of Massachusetts but now in NH where the 2nd Amendment still applies.

I found this site looking for something else (forgot what), and think it's pretty cool that there is a forum of shooters in the Northeast.

I collect milsurp guns and muzzleloaders. The way I support my milsurp habit is by selling muzzleloaders, flintlocks mostly.

I've been shooting for 32 years now, sometimes well, sometimes not. Back in Lowell, I was into .22 gallery match shooting, but these days I just plink because I haven't found a club up this way that is into competition.

Have a great day!

Hello forum members!
My name is Mike and I am from Northwood, N.H.
I have enjoyed the shooting sports since birth.
Yes, my Dad would lug me to the range whether I liked it or not.
Last year I retired after doing my time as a Correctional Officer at the NHSP and it feels greeeeeaattt!
I am a FFL holder and have a Firearms based website that has been keeping me busy.
My shooting range for the last 30 or so years has been Kinnicum over in Candia, N.H.
Hello and thanks for having me! [laugh2]

Hey, you're not going to give us the URL? We love to patronize our own and give them the business. [wink] Seriously, if you do run a business, let us know the URL. It's always nice to do business with someone you know...

Hi Guys
Just noticed this thread. I registered as a dealer for Liotec lighting. This is a very active board and we look forward to participating.

Thanks for the welcome

John

Ahh another slip of the finger, and the need to go up a power in the reading specs! [thinking]

I have the URL link listed in my profile. A few forums don't permit listing your URL unless you " pay up in advance " [rolleyes]

I was talking to a guy named Dana at Archer Arms in Carver about some Enfields and Mausers and he told me about this board. So I have been poking around here for about a month now. I figured since I broke down and spent the dough for a membership I might as well introduce myself. I live in Carver MA on the south shore and run my own electrical contracting business. I am also a Call Firefighter in Carver where I also ended up a part of the photo team and the Webmaster (www.carverfire.org). I am originally from Upper Michigan where appreciation for firearms is a whole lot different than it is here in the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts. I used to spend a lot of time out on the bogs with my rifles in my late teens and early twenties but have kind of been on a hiatus for a while. Though I have never stopped buying them I did not get out to shoot them much until recently. I find myself in Archer Arms a lot and started to use the range at the Plympton Upland Club though I am thinking about changing my membership to Plymouth Rod & Gun or Wankinguoah Rod & Gun Club in Middleboro. I recently got my C&R and started to augment my collection. When I ran into some questions I found the board very helpful and I appreciate it. Thank you and I hope I have something to contribute in the future.

Dan

Hey everyone, been watching/reading this forum for a while, good content and loved the joke thread page. Almost got in trouble for laughing too loud(not supposed to be online) here at work. Anyway, i'm a former(recovering) Ma**h*** [rofl]that finally got fed up with the closed minded thinking of the politics and such. Moved up north to Maine. Somewhat better but I can see it becoming too much like Mass. It's like they emulate Mass. [puke] I live in the Newport area and I am lucky enough to have 70 acres to play on(building my very own range). Own some HK's, 1911's, and some Glocks as well as a few rifles/shotguns. Carry an HK P7PSP every day(too bad they diddn't release the .45 squeeze cocker) and bet my life on it!! My wife now enjoys shooting sports(just got her an HK VP70z)[smile] but it took a few years to convert her(she carries quite often too). I try to spread the 2nd Ammendment message whenever possible. I've been successful quite a few times in fact. Gun saftey=common sense. Served in the fire service for 20 years before I RETARTED (oops, I meant retired). My wife is a real estate agent, so you all come buy land up here any time. Keep up the good work and the good fight!

Hey guys. I'm a college student in Boston and I recently discovered Manchester Firing Line. I've been shooting since I was 12 but I've been having a blast trying out all the guns they have there. I've been going every week since July. I will be turning 21 in a few months, and I live off campus, so I have decided to apply for my LTC when I turn 21. I plan on joining Massachusetts Rifle Association. I've been lurking here for months and have learned some great information about applying in this ridiculous city. I can't wait to join you guys as a fellow gun owner.

As much as I'd love to get an unrestricted LTC-A, I really want it for target shooting more than anything else so I can live with the restrictions. I live a 5 minute walk from campus and I really don't want to have to deal with commuting. The first thing I plan on doing when I graduate is to move to New Hampshire. I guess I'll have to tough it out until then.

just registered. my name is joe and i live in brockton, found your site thru holbrook gun club, my weapons experience is limited to the army 20 yrs ago but am getting back into shooting along with my son. I am also looking for a good carry gun if anyone has any suggestions

Welcome aboard, Joe... and if you REALLY want to start a thread with about 150 replies, just go ask that question in the General or the Firearms & Equipment forum. Trust me, you'll get PLENTY of suggestions. [laugh]

In the end, though, it comes down to what you're comfortable with, can draw quickly and can shoot well. But we'll give you lots of ideas, never fear!
