New acquisitions for November 2008!

Here is my latest, Krebs KTR08. I had them put on a YHM brake that looks great, Can't wait to shoot it this weekend. Also picked up some ammo and 10 mags...

Here's a pic of the Ruger 10/22s I recently picked up. The black one will go to the range this weekend. The other one is, shall we say, a little rough. I'm going to post in the "Build it yourself" forum and look for some advice on refinishing this receiver.

I just bought a factory refurbished Glock 22. Sealed in a factory box, I opened it to find a seemingly brand new, pristine machine. I really wasn't planning on it, but with the economy in the toilet and socialism on the horizon, I had enough good reason right there to buy it. With accessories and all, about a $500 infusion into the local firearms economy. When is buy some ammo day again? I need some .40 to feed my new pet.

I have that same YHM muzzle brake on my NES AR. I like it a lot. I've been told though that it make the rifle "loud"! [smile]

Placed an order with DS Arms today for one of these in 4140 steel with the carry handle cut . The good thing is I didn't even have to put any money down - I'll send them a money order after Christmas.

Estimated wait time is 10-12 weeks. Ouch! I asked the lady how busy they have been since Obamassiah won the election. The lady responded that they have 10 phones lines and they have been ringing off the hook. [smile]

My contribution to the post-election gun sale stats. This was a semi-impulse buy on the way home from work this morning. I stopped in Blue Northern and this was on the counter. I think I had the honor of being the first customer this morning. Thanks NewsShooter for the help checking out!

Were you in my yard taking pics this morning? [laugh]

Nice 93! Are the M&P .45's legal now?

Is that a Caldwell front rest? I'd assume so by the rear bag, but I'm looking at getting their Rock Jr. Front rest. How do you like it? Also, do you need to use a rear bag or is it fine without?

The M&P's aren't, yet - this one is my department issued pistol.

That rest is the Caldwell Rock - I like it, but I have no experience with other rests to compare to this one. You need the bag in back for fine elevation changes - squeeze the bag, muzzle heads down. I'm never sighting in a rifle again without the rest - I figure it will pay for itself with unwasted ammo!

Ahhh, I'm jealous!

Thanks for the feedback, I'll take a look at the regular size Rock rest, and the bags too. +1

Very nice buys. Would like to know how that Walther works out for you after you take it to the range.

I just took it to the range today. It handles pretty well. I just brought it to the reactive range at my club and plinked some metal targets for a bit. The grip is nice and follow up shots were pretty natural. The trigger will take some getting used to. My other .40 is a Glock 22 and I guess I am just used to that. I am sure after another few trips to the range the Walther will become another favorite. It's also just as easy as a glock to take apart and clean. There is not much to it.
