seems neat but i would rather go with the plunger IMO. I dont like the idea of it sensing light to turn on you leds. what if i open my safe and its dark. or what if it becomes more difficult to find a mounting location since it has to sense light.I did battery powered LED lights with a remote switch - I would not recommend this route.
When I upgrade, I'm going to combine the LED strip idea several people here have done with this automatic switch:

MCM has a bunch of strip lighting options, including T and 90 degree connectors to build out the light arrays. Can get spendy, tho:

I used Mr Beams http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Beams-MB852-Wireless-Features/dp/B008X15B6G. With the motion detection, when I open the door, the lights come on. Only downside, (not for me) is they use batteries

Exactly. For the amount of current LED lights draw, is it even worth putting them on a switch?
6 to midnight. No vise though, what gives?!
This is what i used, cheap and fast. The rocker switch didnt work very well so im only using the manual switch.

Exactly.
Put in twenty feet of LED rope light, same net effect as a small goldenrod.

Wow my safe is pathetic.
Do most of you guys leave your pistol boxes and accessories somewhere other than ur safes? I need to do some safe leaning to make more room.
That molle panelling is awesome
I wired some old X-mas lights into the Goldenrod cord and put an inline switch on the side right next to the door frame. Works for my needs.

I have since added 2 pistol racks. One for revolvers and one for autos.
