Actually the SBR permit was surprisingly easy to get
went to the local police, they signed off no questions asked, which was odd since I just moved there and they are known to be difficult

Sent me paper work in on 12-5-05
got there on the 12th
Atf cashed the check on the 21st
went pending 1-21-06
and I had the approved tax stamp on 2-15-06

2 months, which is very fast for an individual application

It took me over twice as long to get my LTC

Great! What town do you live in?
I can't get an SBR and it's my "boss" that would issue it [evil]

Supermoto, it may be a good idea to make a post in the Gun Laws forum on the process you went through to get the SBR.

how do you get one of those permits

so that means you can own anything that is shorter than 16"

Only on this perticular lower receiver. I can change caliber also, so If I want a 9mm " upper I can, but I do have to notify the ATF of any changes and I can not go out of state with out written permission for the ATF

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. If I recall correctly you need to get a SBR tax stamp for each rifle less than 16".

Nice kid by the way.

CD

ETA: Supermoto beat me to it.
