Moving to New Hampshire soon

I’m in the laborers union and I want to get away from mass. I grew up in the mountains in Mexico and raising cattle and such so being in the sticks won’t bother me much. I’m looking at the Barrington area right now becuse it is what we can afford with the lot the size I want
For help in moving, community to assist, info, etc.. check out the Move to New Hampshire | A Guide for Moving to New Hampshire a group willing to help pro 2nd A supporters and those who are self-responsible with their move to NH. Funny this morning when assisting a CT couple with the realtor about buying a home, where they got a "taste" of NH. The living room had a scoped long rifle on the wall with a shorter barrelled lever action (Marlin 336 type?) leaning against the wall while the mas. bedrm had a bearskin over the bed and a rile and pump shotgun leaning in the wall corner. No problem in showing a home with 4 weapons in sight. ( LOL Truth in advertising, the town does have a bit higher property/larceny crime than NH avg.)

Coös County went Blue in 2018. I believe it's for the same reason that NH has gone purple: your traditional rock-ribbed Yankee Republican is anti-war, small government, local over state and state over federal, and not really happy that the national GOP is the exact opposite.
Tell me about it! The push further into socialism is not just from the Dem. I bet if you glance into a corner office you'll find enough examples that need to be discussed/debated.
What I would wish NH non-socialist voters would do this Sept. is call/contact the candidate they believe is the most conservative/constitutional and get friends and family to support their candidates and to hammer any of them who won't give a straight decisive reply to a query. If this doesn't happen, in Nov. the choice is just how much bigger NH gov. will be.

Please move and help us keep up the fight. :)

We used to have Liberty Ballot .com too but looks it's not registered anymore.

I'd be up north but they gots snow on the ground for six months !

More like eight or maybe even nine. When I lived in Plymouth, it would snow before Halloween and into May. We had snowstorms during both spring semester finals periods I was up there, so early May. When you actually get onto the mountain summits, the snow isn't clear until mid to late June. Oh, and the Pemi River has been flooding in Holderness consistently since 2017 when I graduated. Flooding up to the Exit 25 on ramp.

That being said, I would only live in NH north of Plymouth.

You poor NH freedom lovers are doomed to fail if you can't recognize where your problem is coming from.... It's urban politics, public schools and universities. The cancer grows from these areas.
Really, as bad as MA is, this is where the problems come from down here too. Same everywhere I would imagine.

I've heard rumblings of a serious primary challenge to sununu and a possible libertarian candidate challenger
A libertarian challenger in the general election would work great... at getting us a Democrat as governor.

Splitting the vote is what got handed Maggie Hassan her senate seat. Don't believe me, believe the math, and the challengers themselves:

After the results were in, Aaron proudly proclaimed that he cost Ayotte the election.“I guarantee it did and I did it deliberately to knock her out,

I'll save us all the response, Sununu bad.

Ayotte by voting against filibusters voted wrong on several gun bills and deserved to lose. Sununu on the other hand has been 100%. He vetoed every anti gun bill that he saw. So I agree, with your assertion that a libertarian will get us a Democrat governor but I do not agree that Sununu deserves to lose.

I'm not a huge fan of what Sununu has been doing with Kung-Fu Virus but my greater fear are these democrats run by Bloomberg. They are pushing gun control bills that would make Mass residents laugh at us.

I don't recall ever being this bad.

Just curious how you stand with his statement below the other day and how that stacks up against 1A, 4A, 5A and others.....

What-trumps-what-in-this-crisis.png

Sununu did the right thing by NH last year on RKBA and I for one wrote/called more than once to thank him

But he also signed into law a bunch of bills that are seriously destructive of personal liberty/freedom

Since then he's chucked the constitution and party platform out the window and put 1 in 7 folks in NH on unemployment when there were alternatives to keep most of them working

Do you see a path to getting Sununu back to abiding by the constitution and party platform?

Historically speaking the fastest/proven method to lose re-election is to screw the base

Maybe you care about some party platform and a bunch of so called liberty issues. I do not, I am a single issue second amendment voter and Sununu has stood strong on gun issues. I could care less about taxes, the budget abortion or any other far right issue. I only care about the guns and need to look at what he has done and not speculate about what he might do on guns without any proof that he is actually supporting gun control.

I get that

But what about Sununu's statement the other day below

What-trumps-what-in-this-crisis.png

"I believe that public health trumps everything" -Gov Sununu

Sununu did right last year on RKBA

In the last month he's chucked the entire constitution out the window.....2A is a part of that

If he's willing to do that, what makes you believe RKBA isnt on the chopping block when its convenient/suits him along with all other rights?

Because in his designation of essential businesses he included, on his own, without protests or picketing gun stores and manufacturers

Except you’ll still be “From away,” for the rest of your life....
Contrary to this, I have found everyone I've met in NH to be cordial and welcoming us to a free state. Once they realize you didn't move here to convert the state into MA-lite, they truly embrace you.

With Sununu so eager to violate right to assemble, right to practice religion, 4A, 5A and a raft of other constitutionally protected rights under the guise of "public safety" I think its time to re-evaluate how well placed trust in Sununu is......anyone actually have faith in him vetoing bad gun bills after his current and past record on the above? He had to be brought kicking and screaming to veto HB696 last year and then there were the alleged statements to the concord dem rep that was convicted of assault/is behind much of the gun control......he urged her to resubmit bad gun control legislation again in 2020

What-trumps-what-in-this-crisis.png

His statements and actions puts the state in free fall constitutionally and sets the stage/precident for a future dem or another reckless republican to violate rights at will under the excuse of "Public Health".......how many times have we heard dems try to make the argument for gun control with a justification that its a "Public Health" issue?

Well....Sununu just handed it to them on a silver platter.......recall that Hassan declared a state of emergency just a few years ago under the justification "cuz opiods".....doesnt require much imagination to see where this can/probably will go

I've heard rumblings of a serious primary challenge to sununu and a possible libertarian candidate challenger

Nothing would make me happier than for Sununu to do an about face, make a public statement that somehow recognizes his over reach/violation of constitutionally protected rights and moves forward with a sane approach to Wu Flu and the state based on hot spots in the south of the state.......I dont see how Sununu can back track out of the mess he sprinted into so he's really put us all in a hot mess.

Governor has power to declare state of emergency based on RSA passed in the wake of 9/11

I think many would argue that this is not constitutional.....you cant grant a governor constitutional powers via RSA.....it has to be a constitutional amendment to grant the gov additional powers.

There was an effort years back to repeal the RSA that was ITL

I would be shocked if the repeal effort was not revisited and possibly some group files suit over constitutionality of current powers according to RSA
I’ll be in NH soon, one more red vote in bound!

I'm all in favor of a primary challenge for Republican candidate for governor. But for the general election, to do anything but unite in opposition to Andru Volinsky (or whomever gets the (D) nod) will be cutting off our nose to spite our face.

Problem is, the Democrats have all the money! Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Soros, etc. They keep doing all this underground shit and stuff closets with extrea ballots if they need to cheat and win a seat, while most conservatives are working and can't find the time to get out there and clog the streets.

I think we've been lulled into a false sense that there's enough decent people (that's what they told us to get elected) that will do the right thing. The Dems are much more dangerous than COVID-19. Michigan might be the new model to get some attention.

That has been the experience of a friend of mine. Neighbors were friendly enough at first. When they got to talking and realized he wasnt their stereotypical nightmare MA transplant they were happy to have him.

That's been my observation as well. I moved "here" to be "here' and have no intentions of attempting to "change" a thing.

Well, unless it involves less taxes or more freedom......
