Some of us don't go to sports games or concerts anymore because during a certain "pandemic" those venues banned us from attending unless we received experimental medical care. Their owners wanted us confined to our homes and banned from public unless we complied. That is why I do not attend these events Captain Hardo. I do continue to go on hunting and ski tips, take my boats wherever I want, and do any other sport that I desire that does not compromise my moral compass based on their irrational and immoral behavior.
I received B's tickets during the pandemic at the Garden. There were a few reasons why I didn't want to go. The first was I didn't want to be in a crowd and risk getting sick. The second was their policy of showing MY papers / vax card to a stooge. So, I just presented my wife's card that clearly had her name on it and was waived on through by the security flunkie. That policy really worked well. It showed authority and gave the sheep a false sense of a reduced health risk to all those who shelled out huge money to sit in way overpriced cramped seating. Also, the inside mask policy was hardly followed by the masses and nobody from Gahden security tried to flex their muscle or authority either. What a joke!

But the security folks are too dumb to recognize that not all diaper bags look like the old stereotype.
They have been highly trained to do a thorough exterior and interior search operation for prohibited contraband of any bag that doesn't fit the new size requirements! Please have a little faith in the wannabee cops, your life may depend on them someday!

Mercedes benz stadium in atl has this

It's awesome

If you're going to a major event then you know you're giving up all this stuff anyways

Its kick ass

I know some of you guys only leave the house to operate operationally at the buffet line and never would go to an event because you're so pure and virtuos you won't support anyone but djt.

But for the rest of us who occasionally like to leave the house for fun this is pretty good
I'm here to operate operationally and kick ass...and I'm all out of operations.

Not my sister's experience when she and her son, who has down syndrome, went to a concert with a us. Security said she could not bring her had diaper bag because it looked like a backpack. She shamed them into letting her pass.

Bro- you are not a real man if you watch sports ball

I didn't see what tech they use but found a reference to MM wave and IR - Don't care about IR but a big no thanks on MM wave.

Just wait for the hardos that are about to bomb this thread about how awesome they are for not watching sports.
I just don't much care for professional sports. I used to watch Bruins games now and then, but I haven't watched the since Cam Neely retired. That doesn't make me awesome (or less awesome). If you like watching pro sports, great, good for you. I don't. So what?

It's not about liking or not liking them...idgaf what you do

I don't like the people that come in and are like... I'm so awesome and virtuos because i won't support this sports league...

The mindset is i have to tell you how awesome and great and i am for not watching sports just annoys me.

Again i equate them to crossfitters...vegans... bicyclists

Its annoying to me.

This tech is actually pretty cool and hearing about what it can do is cool

Saying it doesn't do much also valid

But telling me how awesome you are because you won't go to a sporting event because they undermine democracy and civil freedoms.

Like ok...calm down take your captain American panties off and get back on your iphone and go back to fapping to cw2 porn.

And i feel compelled to make fun of those people

What's the skinny on where these will show up next? Government buildings, malls, churches, schools?
If successful, there will be no end to this until the feds post one on every patriot's front door (and back door for you operators)

My company sells and installs these. When connected to the camera and access control system it works amazingly. Not intrusive and moves the crowds through the gate quickly. Will not pick up small pocket knives and allows keys wallets and the such to move right through. It will get larger knives and bigger metal objects. Close to a 100% pick up rate on guns.

Up until I retired in 2012 the city paid me a lot of OT to go to the Marathon, Fourth of July on the Esplanade, and a number of "rolling rallies" for the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins. BTW, the Bruins crowd was both the largest and rowdiest.

Guess what I haven't gone to since I retired?

Crowds make me nervous because in many cases crowds can turn into a mobs and that means a riot. Case in point being the celebration after the Red Sox won the World Series in 2004. Not the parade, but right after the victory.

I am the extreme couching American League champion, and have held that title for a while now. But even tho I’m not the smartest burger on the grill, I’ve learned one thing in my 58 years: 95% of my problems come from other people. So, avoiding people means avoiding problems. Avoiding crowds avoids big problems. Works for me.

Within a few years you will probably see them everywhere you see metal detectors now. They are expensive (100 - 200K depending on options) and if you don'y have an enterprise level access and video system you are missing out on about 50% of the function.

What’s the issue with MMw? Is it not just high freq RF?
Microwave ovens are also "just high freq RF", but the dose makes the poison, and RF lacks the proven health risks from, say, backscatter X-ray.

Assuming they test this using the same Beretta 92 as on the sign?

It is high frequency RF - lot's of handwaving as to why it is safe but not a lot of long term clear studies.
That along with the fact that 99% of what they catch would also be picked up by less invasive means.

Sorry, but I don't trust the FDA when there is money to be made

Great, we just implemented this tech in one of my labs…

For what?
If you are not beaming it at your body at levels high enough for high contrast imaging then the risk is probably near background radiation low.

For air travel they like to measure against the increase in radiation risk you get from a few hours at 35k feet - yeah your risk is higher but at least you get a positive.
The scanners don't have much of a net positive over know safe means

It works in this state because most are sheep and believe everything that government and authority tell them!

I was in NYC yesterday. Coming down Broadway into Times Square area I saw the big GUN FREE ZONE posters on the light poles. LOL. I laughed quietly to myself so I didn't get Invasion of hte Body Snatcher'd. LOL

The last place I want to be is New York but a friend of mine scored Pantera tickets at Madison Square Garden tomorrow what am I going to do say no?

I don't worship it

I used to I'm much less inclined to watch than i used to be.

I also don't feel compelled to tell everyone how awesome i am for not watching

Well, at least I don't support woke institutions and liberal causes like you do when you support/watch wokeball.

Every time you watch a sportsball game, a baby kitten is killed by Hitler's ghost and thrown in a pot of water that Satan uses to bathe in.
