Motorist with 16 guns, ammo arrested at LA airport

That's messed up. So, they really can't carry an AR unless it is between home and range, nothing else? Do gun owners in CA know about this law? Besides, wasn't he on the way to the range anyway? What's wrong with a stop half way along the way?

Does this poor guy stand a chance? I'm guessing not, but IANAL.

Think of FOPA! When someone asked the question about stopping at the airport (in a non-licensed state) and then continuing the journey to a licensed state, said person here on NES was cautioned that FOPA likely would NOT cover him/her.

I don't like the CA law, but it seems to be a clone of FOPA wrt "AWs".

Guilty until proven guilty...it's the CA and MA way.

NOBODY expects the communist inquisition!!!!

BWEAH!
