Not sure if this bill has been brought up before, but I thought the editorial was interesting. Basically this "pro 2A guy" is all in favor of a proposed bill that would give the FBI the ability to block anyone from purchasing a gun that is on the terror watch list.

He goes on to argue that this "common sense approach" will keep tragedy from happening and thus by doing so, keep any "real" restrictions off of gun owners.

One of my favorites lines is when he talks about rights not being denied, but just "delayed" (maybe).

The best thing that could ever happen for liberty is to tie that list in to gun purchases. Then we would have a mechanism to challenge the list, determine if one was on it, get off the list, etc.

This will never happen. Let them bleat on about it.

Also, this dude Clifford D. May is not just a local. This "opinion" piece is astro-turf.

He's not one of ours.

At best he's a misguided fudd.

Most likely he's an anti-gunner lying his ass off.

Just a whole lot of "guilty until proven innocent" fail

Yup, all the other people he mentions have been CONVICTED, just being on a watch list means "suspected" which is no where near the same thing. "You HAVE done XYZ" is vastly different than "Someone someplace thinks you might have a connection to someone else someplace else, and might someday do something we don't like"
