I haven't carried a .45 since I was in my 20s and that was back in the early 80s. Since then I have carried many different 9mm semi-autos and a .38 snubbie for summer carry, both calibers have served me well. The truth is though many people do carry them, the .45 caliber is not for everyone. I suspect that the .45 caliber and all the stories written about it will live forever.. That being said, I seriously doubt that the day will ever come when more people carry .45s than 9mm.Topic came up in a discussion about the .45 becoming obsolete over time and someone floated their theory that if a federal AWB happens again or mags over 10 rds get banned that people are going to abandon 9mm and go to .45's again like in the 90s. I don't think that's going to happen, but for you people who have had an AWB the past 27 years what are you guys still carrying like it's the 90s with the .45 or are you 9mm 4 Life?
