MA Regulators to health insurance co's: write policies or else!

No good scenario. Tyrants force insurance companies to do things that won't be profitable for them. So in order to remain profitable, companies have to cut care or raise costs. Tyrants reject both options and claim that this is why we need a public option. This is America?

Could it be any more obvious that the plan all along was to destroy the private insurance companies so that the goverment "single payer system" could be forced upon an unwilling public? How the hell can the Commonwealth of Massachusetts expect to tell a private company that you must accept this person (regardless of underwriting concerns) and you must provide these coverages (regardless of cost) while at the same time preventing that company from raising rates? Stay tuned - I predict this situation will be going nationwide in just a few years. Remember we are the beta test for ObamaCare. Socialist pure and simple. H Hour is soon to be at hand.

Are the rediculous cigarette tax, mandatory seatbelt and helmet laws getting any more obvious? Finally starting to realize that government wants to run the insurance industry?

Sadly, Jack, yes it is. It's not the America that you or I grew up in. It's the "New Amerika." The founding fathers must be looking down at this with tears in their eyes. Except for Sam Adams. I suspect he's royally PO'd; not just at our elected traitors, but at us for allowing it to happen. But Sam always was a troublemaker. [wink]

Yep. Make the intolerable even more intolerable. Find a scapegoat and assign blame. A tried and true methodology that has worked many times in history. When Scott Brown got elected and promised to vote against Obamacare many people from outside MA posted on message boards that they couldn't understand why people here would elect someone opposed to Federal Healthcare. After all, the people in MA already had the joy of universal healthcare. It never occurred to these folks that maybe the guinea pigs in MA were less than thrilled with our universal healthcare.

The end game is pretty clear.

The words are repeal or revolution.

I would hope for repeal. The sooner the better. I really do. Two quotes from Thomas [STRIKE]Jefferson[/STRIKE] Paine come to mind:

"A long habit of not thinking a thing wrong gives it a superficial appearance of being right."

"If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace."

The whole thing is BS. Remember when the state told the pharmacy it was only going to pay them 2 or 3 bucks for prescriptions? CVS told them to shove it and would stop filling ANY script from the state, what ever the program was.

The state blinked.

What the state is doing is illegal, plain and simple. Not that I want higer rates mind you, but it is illegal just the same.
