M1911A1 Pistols to to CMP?

We can only hope! The East Alabama congressman is proposing that the 100,000 M1911A1 pistols the army has on hand in storage to sent to CMP to save the government storage costs and raise money for CMP's mission.

Its only a dupe because it has not been moved to the proper thread like everything else does. I still have my serial number from the 45 I carried while in Germany, it would be cool to get that one. (for me anyway)

I have no idea, but since m1 garands cost 650 and up, i can only hope that 1911's won't cost 1000
