Several months ago I came across a family who is selling off gun stuff. Here is what they have...can you tell me what this stuff is? What is it worth? While I do not know the prices on this stuff knowing what it is worth will help me in making an offer.

***Here is what I will do. I have a ton of stuff I already purchased from this estate that I need to organize and sell (last night I picked up a sweet bushmaster ar, 20", with a fixed carry handle, a2 stock). If any of you want anything pictured in this post pm me with a price you are willing to pay. I will then make an offer to the owners. However, I should warn you that they are using my 2005 Blue Book of gun values as a frame of reference for the prices. They do not seem to be too interested in selling multiple guns at a discount. But that may change.

I'm sure that others will have better information, but I see at the least one Schmidt Rubin K11, one Schmidt Rubin K31, a Mosin Nagant M38 or maybe 91/59 and what looks like M-N M44.

The one thing that is a bit disturbing is some of the stuff seems to have a fair amount of surface rust.

Gary

This stuff is sitting in their basement...is there anything here I should try to get. I am not sure what the people would want for prices

What a collection of crap?

What a collection of crap? Looks like rust city

Do you want to get rid of some of it?

Take a look at the Army gun with the clip and see if it has a little selector lever thats says Single / Auto on it?

I may be interestd in the pump shotgun and some relading stuff and bulletts.

Where is it?

Depends on what you're interested in, I guess. Remember that if no one is licensed everything has to go through a FFL. Even if someone is licensed, everything above 4 FTF transfers will have to go through a FFL

Tall order Steve.

I see a S&W 622 .22 pistol like I bought for my Wife.

A S&W 41 .22 target pistol

S&W revolver, probably .38, maybe model 66 w/target sights?

Mosin rifle, don't know what model.

Taurus .38

Some other stuff I sorta recognize.

Significant markings would be a big help and I suspect that many are marked such that you wouldn't need to ask what they are, just what are they worth.

That Enfield/Snyder conversion is likely worth a good chunk of change.
Lots of nice military rifles.........By the looks of it, as far as the rifles go, I don't see anything that shouldn't clean up nicely!!

OMIGOD !

These would be my choices

9,10,16,17,45 Srpingfield Trapdoors....get them TOP PRIORITY
28,29,30 springfield Krag, get it TOP PRIORITY
7,8,44 Jap Arisakas get them
19 GEW 88 or 98 Commission get it
48,49 don't know but I'd get it quick TOP PRIORITY
50,51 MN get it
56 Colt..can't tell the model but get it

I'd also get the Schmidt Rubins straight pulls and the first 5 pistols whatever they are. Can't tell in the photos.

oops it looks like I used the number at the top of the photos before seeing that they were numbered at the bottom.

I edited the original post...for those of you who have already posted let me ask you this question: I do not know how much these people will want for this stuff...if I new how much it is worth I could make them an offer.

Definitly get the trapdoors. Even if you don't want them, they are worth something to a lot of people. The percussion cap mussle loaders are also a good keep. My recomendation, take it all as a package deal, and piece out what you don't want. Keep your NES brothers and sisters in mind should you care to not keep some of it.

What he said. If you can afford to get everything, you could stand to make some good money selling off what you don't want. There are some really nice collector pieces in there (K11, Finish Nagants, trapdoors, Kraigs) that you would have NO trouble selling. Let us know what you do and what you don't want it would be nice if you give us (NES) the first crack. You really got a good find...and oppertunity.

The ammo alone if original is worth well over $1000.00 These folks have some fair money here. The trapdoors, Enfield conversion and Krag are worth thousands alone. Are these folks friends of yours? If so you need to get them an honest and if need be a paid appraisal. I think they have at least 20K worth of stuff. Probably more. The 1884 with front sight cover is VERY interesting.

Steve, #5 is a Colt .380 Government Model. I'd be very interested in that, as I'm sure others would be. If it looks as good on the other side, it's worth anywhere from $350 to $500, maybe more depending on how many mags, accessories, box, ect.

There is also a S&W Model 41 target .22, and several other interesting smith handguns.

I see some old SAVAGE ammo that I'd like as well.

How do you find these deals Steve? I'm impressed!!

Bill

Looks like quite a collection. ::insert drooling smilie here:: Wish I knew the sellers.
#14 is either a Swiss 1911 or 96/11. The rear sight, handguard, and front sight is the give away. I'd buy it in that condition for $200 if they'll sell it.
If the whole lot goes to a local gun shop for estate sale, please let us know where they wind up.
