Looking good. I need to hit the tire store and get some more weights.
The last 2 buckets equaled about 100 pounds of weights IIRC.
It was more cigarette butts and valve stems than anything. Kind of not worth it.

I get those from time to time.
We do tires here but not a lot so lead accumulation is slow.
Also at about a 30/70 ration of lead to other material.

I donated/karma the last shop bucket to the casting seminar last year. Im just getting to the 1/4 deep mark on the shop bucket now. I will generally do a rough sort and just pick the 3/4oz + wieghts out and scrap/trade the rest

Your donations are always appreciated. We just need to get you to be the guest star at the next seminar.

I scored a partially filled LP tank so decided to melt down the rest of my wheel weights.
Gas lasted long enough to do it all.
When I went to scrap a bucket of steel and zinc I traded a guy for a bucket of almost all lead.

So I was able to smelt the last of my wheel weights
Ended up with 157lbs of scrap zinc, iron and steel clips from the melt

125lbs smelted wheel weights and 20.5lbs lead flashing all smelted down on free LP used 5.9lbs and I could have been a bit more efficient with the gas

But thats a close average at about .05cents worth of propane to melt 1lb of lead.
