It’s a brilliant marketing strategy for the company. Make a gun that is sure to get the left wing all flustered. They unwillingly promote the company as bad. Gun owners flock to said company to defend them and help them out with purchases after the left cries boycott (despite not buying anything from them).

Gawd they get so upset about kids and guns. I can still remember how my first pellet gun smelled. I still have dreams about it. You're not gonna ever change boys minds about how awesome toy guns are.

Lego tells company to stop making guns look like its toys
Danish toymaker Lego said Wednesday it had asked a Utah-based gun company to stop producing a product that makes a pistol look like it is covered with the famous multi-colored building brick.
