Is the panic slowing down?

Judging by the classifieds section, there seems to be lot of sitting stock as far as AR's and AR accessories go. That would lead me to believe that prices should slowly start leveling off. I think the days of 400 dollar AK's and 600 dollar AR's are long gone, but at least there are signs that it's slowing down.

I am sure some of the opportunist wished they sold there stuff a month ago instead of now when FULL RETARD was in FULL effect.

Now if we can get the manufactures to catch up and stock some gun shops. That is probably about 6 months to a year out.

What about ammo though? I don't think ammo ever really caught up from the first scare, if they ain't opening up new, gangbuster production... you'd best keep stacking it.

I think that inflation did, a lot of shit is more expensive than it used to be because green toilet paper is perceived to be worth less.

Are you saying it's inflation that has brought the DOW Jones to new highs, and not our shrinking economy? [wink]

BTW, hilarious inflation commentary about the 70's at the 6 min. mark below...

The "retard tinfoiler crew", AKA, the people stupid enough to pay REALLY stupid prices, are starting to run out of money, I think. Prices will probably stay elevated but hopefully that "Tier" of the panic will be done with soon....

Ammo on the whole had just started to recover in the past year or two. Yes, it was more expenisve than pre Obamascare 1 days, but with the wars and all that shit going on it wasn't too bad all things considered. This latest BS is a big setback in that market.

What I see it's not just the guns, it's spare parts, cheap kits even tools.

Also, keep in mind that import bans on barrels and milsurp/ commie shit has been drying up as well, so it seems like panic is a lot worse too.

NO people are just out of money and their credit cards are maxed out.

Yeah, that market is particularly tough... because there is actually a finite supply of that stuff, and the sandy hook garbage has pushed builders to grab stuff too "while they can" and that's causing those kits and stuff to go off the wall pricewise. It's a shame when we could have freighters full of guns for like $50 a pop wholesale but the dumb ass BATFE regs and import bans are blocking all that stuff from coming in.

I think it's slowing a bit, but as long as the Gov keeps dangling possible legislation their will be a certain retard factor.

Part of the slow-down could just be due to people giving up looking. There's not much point running around to every gun store, knowing that I still won't even find a single brick of Federal value pack .22 ammo. I've stopped looking for anything.

*Word x10

I picked a bad time to be in transition between home defense kit. Gave away an SKS and shotgun in another state just before a move up to Mass. Now.. well, what I could have replaced on a single pay check 2 years ago is simply not even possible.

I don't think it's slowing down, honestly. I think the difficult times are just getting started. A lot of lawmaking is pending. A lot of momentum has yet to hit markets and manufacturers.

We *may* be at a lul in the storm.

Just got back from 4 Seasons and by looking at the amount of firearms for sale, they seem very short of available guns compared to last summer...they did just wheel in a big palette load of ammo, especially .223.

Idiots who buy at inflated prices have either gotten what they wanted or just ran out of money. The AWB looks dead in the water now, there are some politicians and pundits still blabbering about it for attention.

My LGS has 3-4 cases of Federal .22 bricks for $40 each (course, that's gold medal)

I still think Obama is going to come up with some executive orders especially since an AWB has no traction in both the D controlled senate and the house. I don't think he can pass up a chance to be a hero. (It's for the children.)

As others have said, maybe not leveling off, but everyone out there buying up everything and hoarding it are going broke. Some people out there probably have 15 BCG's in their safes. For what?? Give me a break.

I am happy to see AR's sitting in the classifieds now. 2 weeks ago, a Bushmaster was selling for $3k here. Now people are starting to realize how stupid they are for paying that price in the 1st place.

It doesn't look like it is slowing down to me, at least for ammo.

A few weeks ago when I stopped at Blue Northern one guy there said he thinks it is still going to get worse before it gets better.... he was right, this last weekend they had absolutely no .22 ammo, and the only handgun ammo they had was .38 and .357.

I think the manufacturers are waiting to see if any of the crazy proposed state laws pass. They don't want to manufacture a bunch of 10 round magazines if the Conservative states allow hi-cap and the liberal states now drop to 7 rounds.

I cant find it at a price I'm willing to pay, I'm sitting on 200 rounds of .223 I want to shoot but wont until I find more, might break down and pay full retard price soon.

The AWB is almost certainly dead but we still need to remain vigilant. The things to watch are for the universal background checks and mag limits. Those are the two they'll want to push. You know those son of a b!tches are praying for another shooting to revive their marketing efforts.

Agree with others the prices will return to obama elevated status in a month or two. But we'll be stuck with the elevated prices until we get someone in the White House that isn't a socialist. I'm no big fan of Bush but if he went back in there tomorrow, prices would drop significantly.

Same here... the only thing I've seen that has not appeared to be affected is 7.62x54R, I have still seen cases of it at the few shops I've been to.
