MANCHESTER, N.H. -- A safe full of high powered rifles was emptied from a Manchester home while the owner was at work last Friday, Manchester police said.
According to the owner of the guns, the three rifles and one shot gun are worth about $13,000.
Police said their greatest concern is the guns are circulating in the community.
The owner of the weapons said he returned to his Hevey Street apartment on Friday and found the screws to his back door were not in place.
Officials said the thieves took the guns from an unlocked safe.
Also missing from the owner's apartment were his television and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
